Lately I've been spending time with friends that I literally disappeared from for about a year. A new job, a long cold winter, and other Things That Needed To Be Dealt With kept me away from my mobile phone, and away from a social life.

Suddenly it is almost spring and I am facing a world that I didn't expect at all. Suddenly I am well into my first real job, and suddenly I am expected to act like an adult. Suddenly I am also supposed to be a woman, and empowered, and career-oriented and determined. Out of all the women that I could have become in the world, depending on where in the world I decided to set my roots, I became A Norwegian Woman. Difficult. So yesterday I went to the bookstore and bought 2 books on how to be a woman. One in Norwegian and one in English. The Norwegian books deals a whole lot with sexual empowerment and things that make me want to hide under my blanket as I read. I missed my bus stop this afternoon while reading on the bus as the reading-material was so salacious. Lots of commentary about female discharge & self-satisfaction. I get off the bus (still reading), and make my way to a cafe where my friend and her boyfriend explain the wonders of being single in my mid twenties.

Apparently this is the perfect time to be explore the world, and myself, as Oslo is in the cusp of Spring, and everyone is feeling... at the lack of a better word: randy. I am guided through themes such as revenge sex, friends with benefits, toys, and other Things That Cannot Be Mentioned. I start to wonder if I am abnormal, because I literally want to melt into the cracks in the asphalt and hide. I timidly ask my friend to write me messages on my phone instead of TALKING SO LOUDLY.

I am chided for being way too closed.

So here I am, unwillingly stuck in my very own scenarios in my very own SATC, Oslo edition.

I also realize that I'm happy.

For all of my wonderful readers that have emailed me and asked me about my current status and how I'm doing, that's my answer. I'm happy. I'm sorry that I don't get to answer everything, as it can sometimes feel a little bit overwhelming.

Covered in Crosses

Here's a little secret about me: I am covered in little crosses.

I don't know if it comes from a childhood in one of the only Catholic countries in South-east Asia, or because I have always read signs and symbols in the littlest of things, but I have always loved crosses. I've always found comfort in the symbolic use of the cross, and I like them even more when they are displayed in ways that are less forward. Like when it is turned horizontal as it is in this necklace. I see crosses everywhere, but they are mostly man-made. I don't come from a religious family, but I remember collecting rosaries as a little girl. I found them beautiful. Like jewelry. My favourite one was pink and made out of plastic. Another one eerily glowed in the dark. When I was frightened of something, I hid the pink plastic rosary in my backpack and felt safe. I barely knew what a rosary was used for. I am now 25 years old and live in a small country in the Far North, as far away as I could possibly be from my childhood home in a mass of islands in the Far East, once colonized by Spaniards. Now that I am "a grown up" I am covered in little crosses. Whenever I am frightened of something, I remember them and feel safe.

I just came home from a Filippa K event, and I'm exhausted.

I threw on this amazing cashmere sweater (from Filippa K obviously) Russian Red lipstick, and called it a day. I've also decided that I am in love with a Filippa K coat. This is the problem with working with so many amazing brands. You fall in love. It's tiring. Lately I've been writing a good deal about what I work with and I've realized that it is because that's what has become my life. These are the things that I work with every day, and they become my little passions. It's only natural that I write about what I spend most of my time doing.

I've also decided to spend my weekend focusing on another one of my passions. I'm going to spend my weekend visiting galleries and exhibitions. Alone, I guess, which sounds dreary, but isn't too bad at all.

I've had this picture on my desktop for quite a while now. I think I found it on Elens blog.

Miranda Kerrs style is so simple and classy. I think the key to her look is the holistic approach to looking amazing. Her body and posture are always perfect and her skin is always glowing. There's never a hair-strand out of place. Kind of like the opposite of Kate Moss, but I like it. Every time I look at beautiful Miranda I always think that it cant be that easy to look that simple & perfect. I after all struggle to find the time to brush my hair in the mornings.

This entry is dedicated to learning how to be a lady.

I'm 25. I should learn how to brush my hair once in a while.

All I want to do right now is take a week off from work, buy a cheap flight to Italy and take a dinky bus or train to some charming Italian small town by the coast (I'm not that particular, any old town will do). I would live on olives and pasta and make friends with all the local cats. I am enjoying Oslo on the brink of Spring, but I guess I've become a selfish girl because I want more. Don't get me wrong, I don't need anything fancy. Just sandals, cobblestones and some budget bed & breakfast with paper-thin walls. And lots of cheap bottles of Italian red wine, of course.

I'm sorry for neglecting my little blog as of late - I've been remembering
how beautiful Norway is. I seem to forget this in the winter darkness. Here is a
little collage of some Instagram photos that I have taken the past few days.

Tomorrow I am back 100% to fashion. I would never be able to be do work
with something as menial as fashion if I didn't recharge myself with the beauty
of everyday life.

And trends - I find them so strange. I cant help but find the concept of being
"trendy" so awkward. I know that I've written this before, but since I work
with clothes and clothes-horses every day, I can't help but get a little exasperated
by the concept of it. I know that trends are a human phenomena and will always exist -
but I guess I will always be a little rebellious... I just like what I like.

And I do like high heels.

New Skin

Winter has been especially tough on me this year. I've been sick more than once and my skin has been showing signs of a tough few weeks (slash-months). Being the forever optimist that I am I've decided to shed my skin (literally) and start anew. I used my favourite skin exfoliator pads from Comodynes (available at Vita) called Easy Peeling - New Face Effect.

As we speak I'm sitting with Isun's Honey-Goji Berry Mask on my face to soothe my newly exfoliated skin. I got mine at the Supernature store on Bogstadveien.

If there's one thing I recommend for beautiful, glowing skin - it's gentle exfoliation every week. I do not recommend chemical peels of any kind. Not even the gentlest. Your skin loses all moisture this way as skin is literally fried off. Also, when exfoliating be very careful around your eyes and lips! This skin in those areas is very fragile and if you pull at it too much you can cause wrinkles in the long run.

I know loads of you aren't even thinking about wrinkles at this point but believe me
- start thinking about it! Preparation is key. You'll thank me later!

The collection hits stores on the 8th of March, and these are the items I would most like to invest in. That dress (and that wonderful print) makes me think of summer, big sunglasses and tanned summer-limbs. I can also see it combined with a leather biker jacket for a city-chic look.

Here's just another reason why I died when I was given the opportunity to wear Dagmar at the VBA. They had one of the most stunning shows at Stockholm Fashion Week this season. I like how they stand out from other Swedish brands. Dont you agree? :)

Another nineties reference for the win!

This is what I wore to the Vixen Blog Awards this year - I changed my outfit plan when I was given the chance to wear Dagmar AW12! The dress was just incredible...

The night felt like a beautiful movie to me in so many ways - some good, some bad.

Now I can't wait to mend a bit of heartache with a long and warm shower and some Cheez Doodles.

Here are some pictures from the Epilogue event that I was so excited for. I threw on a long dress with high slits, a lace bra, my Mulberry Lily and called it a day. Sometimes simple is nice. Actually, simple is always nice - as proved by this collection. I am so happy that people loved the clothes and that they were so well-recieved. I'm very excited to be getting this collection into the showroom at work, and I have a feeling that the clothes will be flying off the rails with no effort at all. I've already expressed how important I think this collection is for the Norwegian fashion industry because it is the first time I've really had belief in a Norwegian collection in all senses - both commercially and creatively. The clothes are so beautiful!

Beautiful Marianne of Styledevil said it best here. Now this girl knows her designer clothes!

I didn't get an outfit post. I really do suck at taking outfit pictures at events. I find it properly awkward!

Lets see if I do better at the Vixen Blog Awards on Valentines day. I'm sure it's going to be quite the show.

Nineties references never grow old do they?

When I was a teenager I remember thinking that I must be a witch as I felt such a crazy connection to the moon and nighttime. I loved being awake all night long - I climbed out of my window many nights to look for trouble. Nowadays I sadly conk out way before midnight with square eyes from looking at a computer for too long. Growing up sucks.

I just love the cut of this dress by Nowhere (worn as a skirt). I bought it specifically because I realized it could be used as a party dress or as a skirt under spacious sweaters. This perfect rust sweater is from Whyred. I have to admit that I put on some black tights before I left the house - but I like the outfit so much more without them.

Here are the first pictures from the new Epilogue collection (A/W 2012) that is launching today. I didn't want to share anything until it had gone public and I guess a full page in todays DN is as public as it gets! They will be showing the collection at the event tonight that I keep writing about.

The collection is really strong & luxury while still keeping with Scandinavian minimalism,

Feels like a friday

I know you guys appreciate my honesty so I'm going to be honest. It's the second day of the week and I'm §$%#$&$% exhausted already. It feels like a friday. I just got back from the Nåløyet Awards and I've got to say that I am really impressed with the winners. Cala & Jade + Norwegian Rain were both worthy winners - and the teams behind the brands were so cool! I was camera fail ONCE AGAIN. This time I left the camera at a friends house. Fail.

But I did come right home and take these photo booth shots to show you my outfit. And I've decided that I like my grainy photo booth shots, once in a while. Cause they're honest as well. I like honesty.

Things that I am really looking forward to:

1. An event that we (my work) are having on THURSDAY. A Norwegian brand that has completely changed their creative direction to make one of the strongest womenswear collections that I have seen come out of this country in a long time. PLUS - Sandra Kolstad is performing. Excited. Will try my best not to be camera fail this time. I'm really no good at these "seen and be seen" photo-ops. It has never ever been my thing. I've always felt like a bit of an awkward outsider.

2. Vixen Blog Awards of course! I cant believe I actually WON last year - like I said, I've always felt like an outsider, so that was a complete shock. This year I'm not even nominated - and this was not a surprise to me. :) Still excited for the show though! And to plan my outfit.

I had such an amazing time with the writer Trine Saugestad Hatlen. We just hung around my apartment and talked about granny clothes and flea market finds. I wish I had more time for those things, nowadays my days always seem to be so full!

I'm really excited for the Costume Awards in a few days! It has been so long since I've actually gotten dressed up for anything at all.

I seem to have lost my knack for throwing together outfits on a whim because I've been having such a hard time deciding what to wear. This dress is pretty high up on the list - a vintage dress with marabou feathers over the shoulders. That's the amazing thing about vintage dresses - I bought this one three years ago (the pictures were taken three years ago as well) and the dress is just as timeless and beautiful as it was when I first bought it.

I'm also really sad about a beautiful long velvet dress that I didn't buy from Dagmar AW2011 that I really, really wanted. It has such amazing leather details. Too late now... My guy always tells me: there will be a million more dresses. I always answer "but not exactly this one". *pout*

Time flies! Sorry for the lack of outfit posts lately! I blame it all on the fact that the sun don't shine (I'm serious - winter Oslo is DARK). In this picture taken a few days ago (where I look like I'm about to sneeze) I am wearing a new t-shirt from T by Alexander Wang which I bought from Luisa Via Roma. I've been wearing it every day. I'm gross. ALSO, as you've probably noticed, I'm back to brown... to make a long story short... my hair grows fast. Roots look nasty. And bleach kills hair. I'll get back to blogging when I can produce something of substance.

It's early on a Friday as I write this - but after I finish this entry I am going to call it a night. I caught some strange kind of flu that makes you feel like you've just gotten off a roller-coaster all the time, as well as being incredibly light-sensitive. I've been locked in my room with 2 duvets over me. Just looking at my iPhone has made me tear up. Luckily, I'm much better now. Thus the screen exposure. Before I kiss friday goodnight I thought I would first update you on small things that have made my week wonderful:

1. My new brassieres from Calvin Klein. They are so comfortable. I don't understand how I've been able to use anything else. Not only that, but if you choose the cups with least coverage (they have a system of 1-3 in coverage) you get some pretty nice (non-threatening) cleavage. I completely enjoy being quite small but a bra that manages to give me nice lift as well as being comfortable gets 10+ points in my book. So as they said in the nineties: from now on it's "Calvin Klein or nothing at all". Word.

2. If you live in Norway - if you were to only ready one thing about fashion this week I would highly recommend the cover story on Charlotte Gainsbourg in D2 Magazine. I don't know how many times I've said this - and at the risk of sounding incredibly pretentious: D2 is the pinnacle of cultural journalism in Norway.

3. I don't really like leopard print, and I'm not a huge fan of chunky necklaces. But I am a fan of sales. These things came home with me from H&M because I needed gloves. They're growing on me, but I might return the necklace.

5. I quickly just added my iPhone 45 because, shit, it's kind of amazing.

I think Kim Kardashian called hers #swag on twitter and all. Right on.

I've been getting some requests on how I do my simple everyday make-up so here's goes:

Skin: 1. L'oreal True Match in 06 Golden under the eyes and reddish areas under nose as base. 2. Kanebo powder foundation in 204,5 applied lightly to the face with a powder brush. 3. Lancome Star Bronzer on the cheekbones 4. Nars Orgasm blush on the apples of the cheeks. // Eyes: 1. L'oreal Quad Pro for hazel eyes. (apply with a moist eyeshadow brush) 2. Maxfactor Masterpiece Max mascara. 3. Brown eyeliner. 4. Bare Minerals well-rested concealer applied under the eyes with a concealer brush. // Eyebrows: 1. Make Up Forever waterproof eyebrow corrector in nr. 2. 2. Mac Brow Set eyebrow mascara in Beguile. // Lips: 1. Savex lip balm.

The trick is to breeze through it and not over-apply anything. You want it to look super-natural.

Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. xx

Mirrors and Elysian Gardens

When I bought mirrored plates to put under my candles my boyfriend joked that my apartment is starting to look like one of those pompous party apartments from the seventies. This I loved. They're now strategically placed around the apartment, and as a bonus they reflect the light from the candles. This provides a cozy glow to otherwise dark corners. Amongst other things in the pictures you can see my new Voluspa candle which I ordered from Ebay ages ago, a chain bracelet from my mother, a Diptyque candle and rings from Indiska.

People always ask me if my feather tattoo is a leaf, and people ask her if her leaf tattoo is a feather, so it was a very symbolic and beautiful gift. ♥

When my boyfriend and I move in to our own apartment (hopefully sooner rather than later) I hope it looks like this. I've always been known to fall for antique furniture but about a year ago I fell in love with the Stark ghost chairs and now I covet at least one of them for my future home. My favourite ones are the ones with the armrest, but these ones look pretty great around the contradictory sturdy wooden table.

I also want a bison skull on my wall. This obsession started many years ago when I found a beautiful one draped in silver jewelry in a Paris apartment.

Ten Basics - based on the Det Nye article

As promised, here are my ten favourite wardrobe basics: 1. Pumps. They can be black or in a statement colour, depending on your personal style. Mine are patent Louboutins with skyscraper heels, but choose what suits you best! 2. A leather jacket. The biker jacket is still a great piece, but there are other alternatives. 3. A white shirt. A simple & sophisticated white shirt that buttons up is one of my absolute favourite items to match with everything. 4. The LBD (little black dress for you fashion-illiterate) - is always a winner. 5. Red lipstick is hard to pull off but it brightens up most outfits, especially the simple ones. Find one that matches your skin tone. This is easier said than done. 6. A knit sweater. Make sure it's warm, simple and of good quality. 7. Ankle boots. Refer to 90% of my outfit posts. They just work. Please buy real leather shoes. 8. Chain bag. They always look good. Refer to the Chanel 2.55. 9. Black tights. One of my mottos are: WWKD.What would Kate (Moss) do? 10. A t-shirt. My favourites come from T by Alexander Wang. Because they are perfect.

I thought I would do an outfit review for 2011, but I realized that even picking favourites was impossible... there are just too many outfits. Instead I randomly went through my hundreds of folders and picked a few that caught my eye.

Brace yourself for a long entry.

This month I am in Det Nye where I explain my top ten wardrobe basics.

I've decided to do an english version of this, but here is a sneak-peek for my Norwegian readers!

I giggled a little when I read about black tights as one my wardrobe basics. I wrote WWKD (What Would Kate Do) and they wrote Kate Middleton! I meant Kate Moss (queen of black tights).

Det Nye is probably the magazine that inspires me the most in Norway, because fashion editor Rubi Sørvik and Beauty editor Mari Ruus really seem to hit the bullseye when it comes to what I obsess about. My latest obsession (which I found in the last Det Nye) is a pair of leather tights from LES CHIFFONIERS. At 660 EUROS for a pair (sans import tax) I think it will have to remain a distance-obsession kinda thing...

Yet another shitty post from the photobooth maven! Just wanted to drop-in to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to my amazing readers. I'm never really good at expressing thanks but I am so thankful for everything that has happened this year. From winning at Vixen Blog Awards, being featured in both Costume and Elle among others, as well as getting a new job in fashion.

On a more serious note. I've had one consistent commenter that I have for many years now ignored although I know both his address and who he is (hint: crazy old man). Today I received what is a direct threat to me "I know where you live, and I will cut you up bitch". You need to know that I have been tracking your comments for years through your IP address and I feel forced once again to go to the police and report you. If you continue to contact me, make sure I will make my story known. This has been going on too long, since I was 19 years old.

Sweet Christmas

I think I am still in post-Christmas shock! Too much sugar, thoughtful presents and love all around.

I've been having so much fun navigating through the many blogs that my extended internet world brings me to to see all the wonderful and stylish presents that everyone has received from friends and loved ones. I got my guy a black silk bowtie from Hermès that made my heart skip a beat as well as a clock from Triwa that I knew he had wished for. Unfortunately the Hermès bowtie wasn't such a hit! That's what I get for trying to get a guy that isn't too interested in style to wear something that I would love on him... never works! ;) He is more of t-shirt and baseball cap guy (with a pair of Nikes). Very American for a European. I will try to snap a picture of the bowtie before he returns it though.

Otherwise I have been lying around in a constant food-coma. I've also been trying to rediscover my (almost non-existent) cupcake baking skills! As you can see by the picture above, I've still got a while to go before they're actually picture-worthy.

The weather in Oslo is... awful.

I cant even think of getting properly dressed at the moment, so my good 'ol silver jeans from Zara and a gold glittery sweater from Lindex are giving an otherwise casual outfit some shine. I accessorized with an armor ring from Bik Bok and a birds skull necklace from Fashionology.nl. All I have to do nowadays is throw on a sweater, jeans and a pair of chunky black boots and I'm happy.

I'm also happily learning how to get perfectly disheveled hair from youtube videos!

I discoverd Heyyyjune when I was researching bleaching my hair and she has some great hair tutorials.

Things I Love - Dagmar

Dagmar is one of the brands that I discovered through my new job. There is just something about their design philosophy and the quality of the clothing that has made me such a fan. Out of all of the amazing brands that I have gotten to work with, it really is Dagmar that I have fallen in love with.

As much as I love the clean and minimalistic design of Scandi-favourite Acne, I've always felt there was something missing from the fashion scene and I feel that Dagmar fills that void completely. Their concept of arty-chic mixed with quality designs give the fashion scene here in Scandinavia a nordic-bohemian vibe that I have really been missing. This kind of style is all over Iceland and has made them incredibly unique fashion-wise, but I have seen very little of this type of design in Denmark, Sweden & Norway.

I guess I feel that the Scandinavian minimalistic design side has been given so much attention all over the world but that disregards a huge portion of cultural capital here in this side of the world - artists and artisans that use wool, patterns and leather in a very scandinavian way.

Scandinavia is not all pole-thin platinum blondes in head-to-toe Acne. Really.

It's amazing how involved one get when you really believe in something! Happy to be spending my sunday sharing this with my lovely readers. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have this little outlet to share all that inspires me. I will always love the merging of art & design.

Hair care for bleach blondes

I thought I would do a (hopefully) informative entry on hair bleaching. I spent about one month researching on the internet before I had it done at Head & Hair so I was well aware of all the things that were going to happen.

THE BASIS

1. The most important thing to note is that I have been dyeing my hair black for many years. That's a lot of layers of pigment. These were almost impossible to lift out of my strands, so the bottom of my hair is still quite orange. Luckily for me, I kinda like it. My friend called the bottom bits of my hair the same color as a fox - reddish blonde.

COMPLIMENTARY TONES

2. The top bit which is previously uncolored is light blonde. In order for the hair to look the most natural Momo (my hairstylist) left the roots as they are. That way I wouldn't look fake bleach blonde with awful orange tips. Instead it is several complimentary colors all around, from blonde to brown (to orange) in a beautiful gradient mix.

BRASSY HAIR

3. In order for me to get rid of the orange brassy tones in my hair I wash my hair with purple shampoo and conditioner. I am using Bleach Blonde by Lee Strafford. You can get purple/blue shampoo at most hair salons or on the internet. The shampoo and conditioner deposits blue pigment into the hair which stops the hair from turning completely orange. When my hair regains some strength I will dye it blonde one more time to really lift the orange out. Momo wants to wait 3 months with deep treatments as my hair is super dry and damaged, while I am trying to negotiate it to 4 weeks. I don't mind my hair looking fried, as I think it looks kind of cool and "beachy".

AFTER-TREATMENTS

4. According to Momo I should only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. When I wash my hair (with the purple shampoo and conditioner) I finish off with a hair treatment. At the moment I am using All Soft by Redken.

5. After washing I rub in loads of Hair Styling Elixir by Alexander Sprekenhus and spray in tons of de-tangling spray by Alexander Sprekenhus. They both contain Argan oil which is really good for dry hair. I also rub it in to the "crispy bits" when its dry.

6. I try to avoid blowdrying my hair at all costs.

SUMMARY

At the moment my hair is super dry, damaged and with orange tips. It is not a perfect blonde - and this was expected. I love how it looks kind of textured and beachy. When you go from black dyed hair to blonde you can expect a lot of damage. Becoming blonde from brown/black hair is quite a commitment and is going to take a few months at the least. I personally love the result, but it is not for the weak-hearted. Your hair is put through a lot. Luckily for me, I have thick healthy hair. If your hair is thin and damaged to begin with, I really don't recommend trying this at all.

This little luxury came home with me today, and I found the most beautiful winter jacket I have ever seen! Ack. I usually weather through winter without a proper one (just wool coats) but this one was beautiful and I could picture it lasting me for many, many winters to come. I am properly crushing on a winter jacket! Ack! You know those poofy shapeless ones that will never, ever be chic? Canada Goose style... Oh lord! Now lets see if I actually invest in one... they're bloody expensive.

Sometimes I think I need to remind myself that I live in Norway where a proper winter jacket is almost mandatory, considering the weather. Sometimes I do go into denial... especially when it comes between me buying something incredibly beautiful but much less practical.

Back to Voluspa. I ordered Elysian Garden on ebay but this one (Citron Vert & Vanille) was too irresistible to leave behind. Good things come in pairs right?

I just had to share this little product guide that I tore out of this months Det Nye (the one with Charlotte Thorstvedt on the cover). So inspiring! I've just ordered a golden-brown eyeshadow palette from Bare Minerals, but now I'm also craving the one from Bobbi Brown, as well as the longwear lipcreme from Mac.

Mari Ruus, who is Det Nye's beauty editor is so good at make up - I always find her work inspiring.

Mari also did the make-up in the cover shoot with Charlotte Thorstvedt, who looked stunning. Here's some inside info from Rubi (fashion ed. at Det Nye): apparently the girl doesn't own a bad angle... every single shot of Charlotte was flawless.

... luckily for us mere mortals, there's the delete button.

Sorry for the lack of updates on my side... I get major guilt trips when I leave my little blog home for too long. I've been exhausted as of late - it must be the short days and long winter darkness that has gotten to me. There are few things that make me realize that winter really is knocking on my door:

1. I collect clothing items that cannot be worn outdoors (sad face).

2. I realize that I should buy a "proper" winter coat (but I never do).

3. My skin gets really dry and unhappy.

4. I spend too much money on ebay on new make up products to make up for the lack of natural dewiness of my face.

And here are some new additions to The Showmanship closet & vanity table as of late:

1. Three amazing kimono jackets from Indiska.

2. A lighter Bare Minerals Matte foundation for wintery skin.

3. Star Bronzer from Lancome.

I found these delicate bracelets at H&M today, for 10 kr. on sale!

I'm such a fan of delicate little bracelets but these things fall off/break off pretty quickly.

Buying delicate bracelets is like buying a bouquet of flowers...

you know they're going to die on you but they're worth it anyway.

I also met Ingrid & Patrick - the designers of Mardou & Dean a few days ago & I

was gifted with this beautiful little business card holder when I proudly showed off my new

business cards. Unique little things like these are the things that I truly treasure. I even wore it

as a mini-clutch to the Define Hair Awards later that day with just my credit card and a lipstick

in it. It was a great little conversation piece. I'm making tiny-ass clutches in fashion now

- forget the oversized ones! ;)

PS: Patrick & Ingrid: you should really consider producing these

in a larger size you know... and then gifting me with one?? ;)

5. My unmade bed and a sock peeking out of my sock drawer = life. My baby brother gave me a framed picture of my cat Sofia for my birthday and checks that it is by my bedside every time he visits.

6. Returning to favourites: Chanel Bronze Universel on my cheekbones for a diffused glow, Barry M Dazzle Dust on my eyelids, and my favourite drugstore lipstick from London that I just cant seem to find a replacement for. Here's another new favourite: Lancome Color Design eyeshadow in Nr. 50 applied wet under the eyes with an eyeshadow brush.

7. Peppermint tea and apple cake that has already been scarfed down at the Litteraturhuset (House of Literature in Oslo). I am currently reading a book that I bought there which is shifting some paradigms in my mind.

8. Super warm wool blanket that my lovely man bought for me when the "ber-month" chills started.

Marimekko is a quirky Finnish brand which was a favourite of none other than

Getting winter-vibes lately, but for some reason I'm really positive about this winter. I think it has something to do with the fact that my apartment is falling into place, I have a challenging job that I enjoy waking up for every morning and I have about the kindest boyfriend I could ever ask for. Simple things. As you guys can probably tell, I'm in the throes of new-love with my Mulberry Lily. I promise not to style it with absolutely everything in the future. I am currently eyeing two beautiful shoulder bags that I am hoping that I can take home with me soon. Now if only I can start to "effectivize" my work so that I can leave a tidy desk at 5pm every day and I will be in heaven. My mind is a carousel of checklists and plans.

Here is a shot that I took for a magazine that didn't make it to the final cut... I thought I should still share it here. This skirt makes me think of a conversation that I had with a stylist who is probably the person that I admire most out of all the amazing people that I have met that work in the fashion industry here in Oslo. We were working out what the skirt would look best with. I suggested a beautiful and simple knit sweater. She suggested a perfectly crisp white shirt, buttoned all the way to the top, neatly tucked into the skirt. Respect.

I've been obsessed by the idea of a perfect white shirt since.

I found an amazing candidate from By Malene Birger that I haven't tried on yet, but it isn't in stores until Spring Summer 2012. Torture.

I know I twittered about this like crazy so here are some pictures from the Indiska fashion show that my work put together last week. I was so happy about the outcome that when the models started walking down the runway I seriously almost cried. Everything was perfect. After the show Marie (Editor in Chief of Modette) mentioned that some of the clothing items were so me. Maybe that's why I had such an emotional attachment to the whole event. All I know is, those kimono-style jackets are definitely going to find a home in my closet. I wish I had time to take an outfit-post as I was wearing head-to-toe Indiska, but unfortunately hours felt like seconds and suddenly it was over.

Here is a snapshot from today... I cant believe it has almost been a week since my last entry! The past few days have been so exciting with a fashion show at work and other happenings. I have a mountain-load of images to edit so I'll share them as soon as I can. I wish I had more time to blog, and people always say that when there's a will there's a way so I'm sure you'll see and read more from me soon.

In the picture above I am wearing some new wardrobe investments but I thought I'd share the whole outfit in my weekly contribution to Flingly which I publish every Monday.

Every time that I try to write a semi-personal entry on my blog lately... something just stops me from pressing publish. I've just had such a complete renovation of my life and my lifestyle which I so want to share with you all but... It just never comes out. It includes trying to spend more time at the gym, using mostly organic products on my skin as well as mineral make-up on my face. And well... just taking care of myself, inside and out.

My new loves include skin products from Bare Escentuals (more on that later), all natural Goji Berry juce, and a spoonful of spirulina and wheatgrass powder every morning. For my hair I've fallen in love with L'oreals new shampoo & conditioners set that does not contain silicone (It's called "Volume Collagen"), and I always apply argan oil products from Alexander Sprekenhus in towel-dried hair.

Any of you interested in knowing more about the products that I feel have really changed my skin & hair? I know this is a fashion blog but there are many other things that I would love to share - recipes, skin products & little peeks into my interior projects.
